“After a lifetime of making art, I have come to realize that my primary joy is in using fragments and scraps to make a beautiful whole. To this end, I work with fabrics to make quilts and paper to make collages.
My process is an improvisational one, ie. creating the design one piece at a time. I use an ever-growing variety of materials including commercial quilt fabric, thrifted clothing, as well as hand painted or dyed pieces.“ -Janet Hopkins
